The Black Death was very sad and tragic. It killed from 23 to 34 percent of England's population. Most people blamed the people who had the disease. They said that the people were bad and God was punishing them. Maybe he was or maybe he wan't. The real problem of how it started was from traders coming to trade goods with Europe. The disease was farther away in Asia but the ships brought rats that had fleas. The fleas contained the disease in which caused people to get sick and die. They couldn't handle such a disease which brought painful death and caused many to die.
Syptoms were vomitting blood, red splotches all over the body, and fainting for no apparent reason. It was also quite unsanitary in the cities where all of this was happening. The sewage systems were right outside of the cities and built up in nasty filth and muck. The Manors in the rural areas had it worse though. They had to dump the dung of the animals and manure

I the son of the king of Europe has been called to marry the other king of North Europe's daughter. I am thirteen and so is she. I only hope she is polite and pretty. I want to help my father but I think it is kind of unfair. I mustn't disobey him or I will suffer severe consiquences. I will leave at dawn tomorrow. As I begin to sleep I dream of the province and marring the princess. I don't really know her I have only heard of her. When I awoke the next day I grabbed my things ate and I was on my way. It will took me two days to finally reach the place from my castle. It was quite nice and similar to my own castle. This would be my new home. As I entered the castle I was greeted by the knights who guarded the gate. They knew only a king's son could wear such nice atire. I walked further into the castle and met the girl, her mother, and her father.
They were not to suprised but they talked to me about my father. They said me and my new wife would be great together. I had no clue what I was going to do. This was a very hard decision. I was mad at my father but new that I had to have this done. I was running away from stromford the only home I knew. I was proclaimed a wolfs head and I knew I would be killed if I were caught. I ran as fast as I could knowing if I slowed down I would be no match against John Aclyffe and his horse. I feared he would cut me to shreds. As I ran deeper into the unknown I began to wonder what happened with my parents and what Father Quinel was trying to tell me of my father. Now that he and my parents were dead I was almost alone. All I had left was god in the heavens watching over me. I scrambled around looking all over for food I found roots and other plants occasionally berries.
One day I came upon a village were it was very ghostly. I could hear no sound what so ever. As I walked down the roads all I could here was the wind which to sounded dead. When I seen a body dangling from a tree I seen a horrible sight a dead man. I ran past him and ran in to a church where a man made me his slave. I was out farming on the Manor's farm land when all of sudden I smelt burnt wood. It was either the BlackSmith or the village was being attacked by vandals. I bolted to see what was the matter I noticed something quite strange my village was being griefed. It was a terrible sight to see. I ran towards the Manor to get the vassals. They were fighting the vandals single handedly. My question was, " were is the lord." He was fighting off the enemy in his manor. He would not survive if I did not help. I ran to the scene picked up one of the fallen swords and rushed the enemy.
I slashed and bashed my way through the enemy lines. Cutting the enemies straight in the jugular. I did not wait to watch them bleed and die for it was an unbearable sight to see. As I ran up the stairs of the manor I seen a vandal fall off the second floor. With a painful crash the vandal landed and was instantly killed. Who could have thrown the vandal of the second floor ? I wondered. It must be the lord of the manor! I quickly made it up the stairs to see the lord fighting off twenty or so vandals. He would not last another minute if I did not help. I ran and swung my sword down upon the enemy. Peircing their armor they fell one by one wounded. It was as if, the nonsnse all stopped when I defeated the last vandal but more trouble approached. A battering ram smashed straight through the door and took down part of the wall with it. We had more vandals approaching. The lord told me these wern't are average vandals. They were the Vikings! We fled the manor by jumping through the second floor window and me and the lord fell into a hay stack. We knew the enemy would soon engulf the whole village with their wickedness. I ran and watched all the other villagers flee towards the forest but the vikings followed. So the lord summoned the archers and they shot the attacking vandals. Word spread to us they wanted our silver. So, we hid the silver and attacked the vikings. In the end we won and the vikings ran back to their ships but we knew there would be reignforcements. But for now we were safe. Charlemagne was the leader of the Franks. He was the start of the middle ages in which started new tecnology. Catapults, and wheeled ladders were invented as well as giant castles and in such ways knights came about. As all these new people and inventions came out so did new invaders such as the Vikings or Northmen. They terrorized lots of places like Britian, Spain, and Gaul. These places were almost forced out of their homes until they drove off the Vikings. They were leaded by Charlemagne but when he passed less greater rulers came about. It caused wide spread turmoil and trouble all over the country of Europe. Christianity was also spread by Charlemagne to monks.
They made new missionaries and lots of other things for monks to spread and learn things. Then Saint Patrick came about and took it into his own hands to spread the religion all over from Europe all the way to Ireland. Then soon after him monks took his responsibility and taught the people all around the missionaries about the religion. They helped the learn to except the christian lord Christ into their everyday lives. Now Charlemagne's kingdom is France, Italy, and other places in Europe. I am going to stay in better shape. I am pretty well in shape but I know I can do better. I am going to work my way up by running a lot. I want to grow good with very physical shape. I want to know my body is super fit. I want to be a runner who can run great distances. I am going to try and run across the whole country for four years. Then become an Engineer so I can create something and become a millionare. Then i want to get a ship and go fishing in the harbors swim a lot and do all kinds of things. I also want to fly helicopters and airplanes more ever since I flew a Cessna supercub.
All this would be really great because when it is my turn to pass away as everyone has thier turn. I want to be remembered for all my great commitments and accomplishments. It will be fun to do. I would really enjoy it. All the fun is exciting. I also want to get a book published and awarded I would have a really good life. The Japanese wre highly influenced by the Chinese. They were begginning a new religion China had brought them. Buddhism. It highly impacted the Japanese. They also learned to share art and literature. It began to grow more and more. The only people who didn't agree was the clans. They thought it foolish to change their own way of life. They all had a huge war over it. In the end the Yamoto clan won and became leaders. They believed that Buddhism was a great religion. One common thing Japan adopted from China was of course, Chopsticks.
The people of Japan used Chinese army skills and some even learned to speak Chinese. They also adopted the Gun which was first invented in China around the early 1400's. The guns were very useful and the emperor easily conqured his enimies. Later though he banned them due to farmers shooting Samurai. I think the most important would be the Gun due to it's power. I was working in the fields picking and harvesting rice when all of a sudden I hear a feroucius thundering roar as loud as a tigger ," it is the mongol army". They approach closer and closer on there horses and pretty soon are right in front of the villiage gate. I suddenly see smoke arise in the distance. The hideous men are burning down the outskirt village homes pillaging the people. I run and hid in my home where I feel safe only for a moment. The Mongols have begun to break through the village gates. They charge through like hungry wolves and destroy house after house with cannons and flame torches.
Pretty soon the village is in crisis with people running about and stone flying to and fro, the people are doomed. I stay inside my home hoping they won't find me and my family. We are all terror struck. My two boys are fear struck and look hopeless. I grab my sword and stand by the door telling my wife and boys to go in the backroom of our home. I hear the mongols approaching speaking in their foreign language. With fear I wait for them to approach. Then, one kicks open the door with a crash I stand still as a shadow. As the warrior approaches I land my sword right atop his head the wounded man chrashes to the floor dead. The other mongols two of them come in the house right after I hid the body. Curiously They stand still looking around. I slash both of them and they fall dead too. The remaining Mongols retreat for they have what they want and me and my family reamains safe. The mongols never returned. The Chinese were very smart and crafty people. They were expert shipbuilders and created the magnetic compass. These people achieved high and successfully. Many of their great achievements was the Great Wall Of China, this spectacular structure was one of the first to be viewed from space. It streched out over mountains all across China. The wall kept out many invaders and helped protect China greatly. The most important achievement though was probably the search of cure for disease through China.
This was used to protect people and if the cure wasn't found the The Groits where Mansa Musa's Record holders. They recorded data for special Historic occasions. They were highly prefered by the king and were used to record many West African events. On Mansa Musa's Hajj they led a huge crowd of about 60,000 people in total. This was a huge task that many slaves had to carry out. Such of these things was carrying pounds of gold for many miles and tending cattle and livestock.
During this journey many went without water and died of thirst many also died because of the lacking of body salt. Many people in Africa payed even in gold for this product. The Groits recorded all of this. |
