The worst part this year for me was controlling my anger. I really could get angry easily. However, I have built up a lot of pacience over the quarters. I really had to stop myself sometimes from getting myself into trouble because someone got me upset. Now someone an say something rude to me and I can control myself only to an extent. Once my patience breaks my anger pours out like hot lava.
The best thing I think this year for me was to know that I made it to this school and got good grades. I also made a bunch of friends a long the way. I stayed away from trouble and didn't hang out with the wrong crowd. Although I didn't participate in all the sports this year I am going to try out for a lot next year. This way I can make sure I get my work done. I had fun in most of myclasses doing work and trying my best. I keep on trying to do good and ensure I succeed.

Sea lion cove was my favorite station at the zoo. The sea lions were fun to watch and the scenery was awesome. The facts and paper work wasn't fun at all. I didn't like doing stupid paperwork the whole time. I wasn't even able to enjoy myself. Luckily the seals did though.
Another reason I liked it a lot was because of the exhibit reminding me of the vast ocean. It is a very interesting place full of all sorts of life and animals. The seals were very acrobatic in the water swimming around and doing tricks so to me watching them was my favorite part of that whole trip. Hopfully the seventh graders next year have more fun then I did. They both fell from the spanish invading. This was a very similar in the same way that the spanish brought both of them disease and plague. They destroyed their buildings statues and monuments and killed many of the people. The rest became slaves in new spain. The spanish did all they could to destroy the tribes.
They brutally killed and out matched them with armor swords, cannons, and guns. These people were no match for the spanish. As the buildings were destroyed the churches of the spanish were built and still survive today in mexico city. but, the incas are high in the andes there buildings are being rebuilt and people are building cities around them. My favorite part of this year would be meeting my two best friends Hernan Angeleas and Manvir Cheema. All though I have lots of other friends they are my best friends. They all ways are there to help me as I am to help them. We all three have a trust in eachother. We sometimes argue but still they have respect for me as I do for them. They I know for sure wouldn't talk behind my back and we never try to be part of the popular crowd. If anything we had be better off being the outcasts then the cool crowd.
I know I can trust my two friends as they can trust me. We sort of have a commitee to do good in life and us three make sure we follow it. At this school it requires major commitment to succeed and me and my friends are willing to make that commitment to succeed in life in and out of school, and thats my favorite part of the seventh grade. The Maya were very amazing people. They used math and science to figure out things that we know today. They used a few hundred workers to build the amazing cities that we see in ruins today. The king had a lot of political power over the people of the cities. You were born into your class depending on your families background. The higher your family the higher you were.
Many people were farmers. They all grew corn and lived in small houses outside the city. If you were a slave the lowest person in the society you were sent to trade and were later sacrificed. It was a neseccary thing to do then. They believed their gods needed their blood. It was a long journey we had finally made a stop. We had traveled a long time acrost a huge land bridge. We were forced to leave due to the shortage of food and the intense cold. I and my group have found new land though. It is very warm and there is no snow to be seen. The herds of mammals are abundant so I think we should stay for a while and build are village here.
After a long time we have used up almost all of our meat sources. Still I think we should stay in this warm place after all, it is the only warm place we have found so far. We have been able to grow a food from the soil. We have the women go and harvest it when it is ready. I call it , "maize", meaning, " corn". It is very abundant when we run out we just replant it so I think this the place to stay. My favorite book would be The Rifles For Watie. At first it is boring but it turns out to be quite a novel. It has lots of detail about this emense battle during the civil war. It starts out telling of a young man named Jeff's story. He tells his story to begin on his home ranch. He learns of a war coming and decides to join it with several of his neighbor friends. He later ends up dealing with many challenges such as hard military training, Mean cruel leaders.
The scientific revolution was a huge step to where we are today. It sparked all kinds of crazy ideas and jobs for people. People studied the universe. They learned more about anatomy and how the human body works. It is very interesting how all of a sudden such ideas could come up. It is very neet in the tense it formed are future in which we have today. I like the fact that soon after many new things were invented. Guns, new types of structures, and the telescope to study astronomy like never before.
Imagine meeting Sir Isaac Newton and observing how he did his research on the heliocentric idea. Or Galileo forming the idea. He was sadly forced to give up this idea due to herecy. It still lived on though as he spread the idea to other fellow astronomers. He is still recognized today for his work. I think Their should be longer summer vacation by two weeks. This would ensure that I could have more fun and longer time to relax from a stressful year. My other these would be longer lunch time by five minutes. This would ensure I get enough time to do my work in the computer lab. The third these would be have homework lab the day it is assigned to you to get it over with. My fourth would be to have drawing competitions at the school. My fifth and last one would be to ensure bus PB gets here on time. It is late almost everyday.
This would satisfy me greatly and I think others would enjoy it very much. Hopefully this can be accomplished and carried out through out the school. It would be great to participate in a drawing competiton or have a slightly longer vacation. Hopefully Computech can achieve this for us students so we could have an even better time here. I like Leonardo's work more so then Michelangelo due to his very crafty inventions and designs. They are awesome and I give Vinci credit for helicopters tanks airplanes and all of these inventions we use today. Imagine if his ideas were published and actually worked and destroyed enemy armies. His war machines were awesome ideas. I know that Vinci also made many other art works such as the Mona Lisa and his studies of all different kinds of how are bodies worked and all of the other ideas such as astronomy and all his studies on the blood flow.
He was remembered in history for his great accomplishments but he never got to use them in the world. It would be nice to know that flying machines were used then as well as now. If these machines were used then imagine how well futurized the world would be now. |
