Light must go through a long process to travel from the eye to the brain. It starts by light reflecting through the sclera then through the Iris. From the iris it travels to the lens. From the lens it travels through the optic nerves to the brain. It is a short process that comes out upside down until it reaches the brain. The brain processes the image and then flips it to what we see. So everything we look at is first upside down until processed.
It is very amazing how the eyes work and functions. They go through many processes in milliseconds to produce a clear visible image. Everything we see is an blurred upside down picture until it is sent to the brain. The brain optimizes the picture and makes it clear to see.
